Press Release
Thursday 30th April, 2009
Ashford is a good place to be in business in 2009. That is the opinion of David Roder, the Creative Director of Red Carrot, the web design and print business which has just relocated to Ashford High Street.
David founded Red Carrot as a design and print business in 1998 after working for seventeen years as a senior business development manager for several large corporate companies, including Allied Domecq and Whitbread.
“Redundancy is never easy, but I decided to look on it as an opportunity to set up my own company,” he said. At first he worked from his home in Lydd, then an office before moving into New Romney in 2006. With energy and commitment, he has built Red Carrot into an innovative and well respected firm. He has a passion and talent for effective marketing and his infectious enthusiasm continues to motivate everybody he meets.
David leads a talented and experienced team who have designed websites for a wide variety of clients ranging from international organisations such as Strategic Natural Resources who operate from South Africa, to the East Kent Enterprise Gateway, from Kent restaurants and pubs to the quirky Naked House Cleaner.
Their design and print portfolio is equally diverse and includes the materials to mark the celebration the 400th Anniversary of the British foundation of the Jamestown, settlement in Virginia, commissioned by Kent County Council and the delightful book, Bogg the Dog, written and illustrated by a local author and artist.
Comments from clients speak of Red Carrot’s commitment, tenacity and attention to detail to meet the needs and aspirations of their business whether it be a specialist florist or a major ferry firm.
“I believe that coming to Ashford is the best possible next step for us,” said David. “Although there are many people who are pessimistic about the current economic situation, I am confident that by offering a personal service, taking time to listen and working with clients to ensure they have a website which is most suited to the style of their organisation, Red Carrot will soon become a recognised and successful business in this community.”
